FutureMe.org is a labor of love, created by my friend Matt Sly and Me. The concept is simple, Future Me allows you to write an email to your future self and choose when to have it delivered (like when you were a freshman in high school or college).
Writing a letter to yourself and having it delivered in the future was pretty cool we thought, but what if we allowed users to make their email viewable by the general public (we'd strip out their email address, of course). The result was pretty astounding. As of November 2005, nearly 100,000 emails have been written and the public collection is a bizarre yet compelling read.
I did all things front-end and Matt did all things back-end.
